Clear information about cookies, browser storage and your choices when visiting the hosPOSality website.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. They can help a site operate securely, remember a requested service or understand how it is used. Some last only for a browsing session; others remain until they expire or you delete them.

Similar technologies include local storage, which can remain in your browser, and session storage, which normally lasts for a browser tab's session. The rules about storing or accessing information on a device can apply to these technologies too, not just cookies.

How this website uses them

You do not need an account to browse our public pages, read Insights, view pricing or prepare an EPOS enquiry. The current public pages do not set application cookies or save browser preferences during ordinary browsing.

We do not currently run advertising cookies, remarketing pixels or audience-analytics trackers on these pages. We therefore do not display an “accept all” banner for optional tracking that is not in use.

Where storage is strictly necessary to provide a service you request, such as a secure sign-in, it does not require cookie consent. If we introduce optional technologies that require consent, we will explain their purpose and ask for your permission before activating them. You will be able to refuse or withdraw that permission.

Essential cookies and storage

The website's authentication infrastructure can use the following items if an authorised sign-in or authenticated website preview is used. They are not required to read the public marketing website, and are not used for advertising.

app_session_id

A first-party authentication cookie that maintains an authorised signed-in session. It is set after successful sign-in, not simply by opening a public page.

Duration:
Up to one year, unless cleared earlier or removed on sign-out.
Purpose:
Essential session authentication.

__Host-oauth_state

A first-party security cookie that links a sign-in request to the browser that started it, helping protect the authentication process.

Duration:
Up to ten minutes; cleared when the sign-in callback is processed.
Purpose:
Essential sign-in security.

manus-cookie

An authentication fallback in session storage that may be used in an authenticated Manus preview when the browser blocks its usual session cookie. It is not an advertising identifier and is not written by ordinary public browsing.

Duration:
The browser tab's session.
Purpose:
Essential authenticated-preview access, where used.

Fonts, video and external links

Our Inter and Playfair Display font files are hosted with our website. Your browser does not need to contact Google Fonts to display these pages.

The video on our EPOS builder uses the browser's own video player and our website's media storage, rather than an embedded YouTube or Vimeo player. Product and payment-provider artwork is also served from our website's media storage, not from advertising widgets.

If you follow a link to ICRTouch, a payment provider or another external website, that site's own cookie and privacy information applies. External sites are not loaded as tracking frames merely because their links appear here.

Your choices

You can use your browser settings to view, delete or block cookies and site data. Blocking essential authentication storage may prevent sign-in or an authenticated preview from working, but you can still read our public information without signing in.

To remove previously stored site data, open your browser's privacy or site-settings controls and look for hosposality.co.uk. If you also visit another hosPOSality domain or an authenticated preview domain, manage that domain's stored data separately.

For independent information about cookies and your rights, visit the Information Commissioner's Office.
